The View Camera - Photography at a slower pace.

Join me for a view camera workshop and you will be entering a strange world where a 90mm lens is an extreme wide angle and after carrying a big camera and tripod about all day you come home with just one or two photographs - welcome to the world of large format photography. Why use a camera like this in this digital age, well it is a different way of working, slower paced, more contemplative and the craftsmanship needed to create photographs is infinitely rewarding.
I have been using view cameras for nearly 30 years and still use them every week at my commercial studio, although now with a digital back (I still use film for my personal work).
Our workshops are an introduction to using these cameras and are designed to speed up the learning process on these often challenging cameras. If you have ever considered starting large format photography the workshops give you a unique opportunity to try different cameras and the various accessories before commiting yourself to buying a camera.
